I have to brag a little because things are turning around in a hurry here.
Today we hopped on the track for a 5k type session, and coach did a little test to see if I was in 5:00 mile pace shape for a 5k (15:40ish):
3×1200 in 3:45-3:47
2×800 in 2:27, 2:25
2×400 in 65’s
2×200 in 30’s
It was smooth, easy, controlled…I was literally grinning gleefully during the faster intervals, so happy to be training well.
I just wanted to share that happiness with you, because God knows I complain enough on this flippin blog. 🙂
That’s awesome news! Hopefully my Achilles will straiten itself out soon and I’ll stop complaining, too!
Lauren, I cannot tell you how legitimately happy it makes me to hear that you’re running well and pain-free! Keep up the great work, I can’t wait to see you in action soon 🙂
P.S. Did I tell you that my coach had one of your Nike Objectify Me posters and he gave it to me after we saw you and Jesse at the Santa Monica race last fall? It’s a totally kick-ass poster, you look intense (in a good way, of course)!
