Q: Drills: Before or after run?
Do you think its better to do Drills after a run or before?
-Matan
A:
Hey Matan,
Great question. Do a small warmup of 1-2 miles before doing drills. Then work into your drills with the easiest ones first and the most complex/dynamic ones last. 2 sets of 3-6 drills should have you ready to roll. Do a few shoulder/hip/ankle rolls to bring the pulse back down, and then you go for your run.
If you have a hard workout, don’t forget to do 4-6 strides after the drills or you’ll be sucking wind!
